Based on years of experience, thoughtful teaching practice, and strong pedagogical background, Jennie Lou Klim has developed a method that will work well in a variety of settings for students of diverse ages, situations, and backgrounds. Emphasizing tonality, finger patterns, and rhythmic patterns at the beginning stages, the book is clear and systematic. Rhythmic competency is emphasized through the repertoire introduced in the books and fingerings are never over-notated. The clean look makes this a natural for older beginning students as well. Masterful Teaching Guide for Violin Teachers
By Natalie Hoang
I cannot say enough good things about this book. As a private and classroom violin teacher, this book has taught me so much about teaching violin in the classroom and privately. Jennie is an excellent teacher with over 50 years experience. She shares her teaching advice in this book, and it has literally changed the way i teach the violin. I have learned so much from her, and you will too. This is a great investment into your teaching career, and a great deal for how much wisdom you will gain.

Great Guide!
By Lucy
This book has given me such insight into teaching violin. As a former student of Jennie Lou Klim's, I am now teaching students of my own! This book is so thorough in what to expect/how to approach teaching new students. It really walks you through every aspect of the beginning teaching process - weather you're teaching young or older students. I highly recommend this book to newer teachers like myself, it has helped me grow tremendously as a teacher!
